The day before Your procedure

A nurse will call you the day prior to your scheduled procedure, typically between the hours of 9am-3pm. They will review your medical history, allergies, current medications and give you specific instructions regarding your procedure and scheduled arrival time. PLEASE ARRIVE AT THE TIME GIVEN BY OUR NURSE and disregard any time you may have been given from a physician or office staff.

In the event that an answering machine is reached, please be aware that HIPAA regulations only allow us to leave an arrival time and call back number. We are not allowed to state your procedure or physician when leaving a message. If you will not be home or do not have an answering machine, please call us at (856)874-0790 ext. 115 between 9:00am and 3:30pm the day prior to your procedure so we can give you specific instructions.

If we are unable to contact you during our normal business hours, please follow the instructions given to you by your physician. Please leave a message on our answering machine and we will return your call after 7:00am on the following business day to give your your exact arrival time.

*Please Note: If your appointment is scheduled to follow a weekend or holiday, you will receive a phone call on the last preceding business day prior to your procedure.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: If you are having a procedure with any type of sedation or anesthesia, you cannot have anything solid 8 hours prior to your scheduled procedure time, nor any clear liquids 4 hours prior to your scheduled arrival time, unless otherwise instructed by Centennial Nursing Staff. *Patients who are scheduled for a colonoscopy, must follow instructions for the bowel preparation as given by your physician. Any questions regarding the bowel preparation-please call your physician.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: You must make arrangements for a responsible adult to take you home if you have had any type of sedation or anesthesia. You may not take public transportation home. A Taxi or Uber is permissible, however you must be accompanied by a family member or adult friend. We will reschedule your procedure for another time if suitable arrangements cannot be made to insure your safe travel home. In addition, it is recommended that you have a responsible adult available to you for the 24 hours after your procedure in the event that any problem should arise.
