Financial FAQ's

Does Centennial Surgery Center accept my insurance?

Centennial Surgery Center participates with many of the major health insurances. Please click HERE to see if we are currently participating with your insurance plan.

Who should I contact if I have questions regarding my insurance coverage?

Questions regarding your insurance coverage should be directed to our billing office Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at (732) 383-4164.

Will there be a cost to me for my procedure?

The cost of your procedure depends upon you insurance coverage. Once we receive your scheduling and insurance information from your physician’s office, our billing office will verify your eligibility and medical benefits. Patients will be responsible for all deductibles, co-payment, co-insurance and outstanding balances prior to or on the day of your appointment. Payment can be made in the form of cash, debit/credit card only. A payment plan option is available for eligible patients. Please contact our business office directly should you wish to choose this option.

If you have a financial responsibility, you will be contacted three to five business days prior to your scheduled procedure with an estimated cost. Additional costs may be incurred by you for your physician and the anesthesiology group. These costs are billed directly by these providers and not associated with your costs by Centennial Surgery Center.

How do I know the estimated cost is correct?

Our business office is providing you with an estimate of how much you will owe according to your insurance plan. Insurance plans vary depending on allowed services, deductibles, co-pays and co-insurances. Often times a procedure will include multiple components and charges are based on the actual services provided which cannot be determined in advance. The amount we provide you is only an estimate of what you will owe after your insurance processes the claim.

Centennial Surgery Center will refund any over payment made by the patient after the claim for the procedure has been fully processed by the insurance company. Refunds are processed within 45 days from date of insurance claim processing.

What bills should I expect to receive?

Your procedure at Centennial Surgery Center will have several providers participating in your care and each provider will be billing separately for their services as follows:

  1. Your physician will be billing for their services related to performing the procedure.

  2. If you receive anesthesia, Mid-Atlantic Anesthesia Associates will be billing for their services related to providing anesthesia during your procedure.

  3. If specimens are taken during your procedure they will be sent to the laboratory designated by your insurance. The lab will bill for their services related to processing the specimen and providing a pathology report to your physician.

  4. Centennial Surgery Center will be billing for providing the licensed clinical facility in which your procedure was performed.

What should I bring with me on the day of the procedure?

Please bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and a form of payment if you have been notified of a deductible, co-payment or co-insurance amount due on the day of your procedure.
